ABOUT CENTER SPACE
healing.connection.growth.renewal
Center Space is built by a team of therapists, instructors, and practitioners who believe wellbeing is something you live — not something you visit occasionally.
Our work brings together movement, recovery, and depth-oriented psychological support in a way that feels grounded, accessible, and real.
We serve people who feel stretched thin, stuck in patterns, or disconnected — and who want a steadier, more intentional way of living.
Our Therapists

THERAPIST | FOUNDER
Zach Thompson
Zach Thompson is the founder of Center Space and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Mississippi. His work focuses on helping people find clarity and direction during seasons of stress, transition, or emotional overwhelm.
Zach specializes in trauma resolution and depth-oriented therapy. His approach combines practical tools with deeper reflective work, helping clients understand their patterns, regulate their nervous system, and reconnect with meaning in their lives.
He works with individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, addiction recovery, and questions of purpose. His goal is to help people move toward steadiness, insight, and a more intentional way of living.

THERAPIST
Jessica Lott
Jessica Lott is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than a decade of experience supporting people in recovery and personal transition. Her work focuses on helping individuals navigate addiction, trauma, and major life changes while building steadiness and structure in everyday life.
Jessica works with both individuals and groups, using practical approaches that help people develop new habits, understand their patterns, and strengthen emotional resilience. Her style is direct, supportive, and grounded in real-life change.
She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed practices to help clients build healthier relationships with themselves and others.

THERAPIST
Leland Smith
Leland Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Jackson, MS. His practice primarily focuses on helping clients in 3 different areas:
- Men's Issues: stress, anger, relationship conflict, pressure to perform, difficulty expressing emotions -- these things can affect our peace, confidence, and ability to show up fully in life.
- Substance Use: looking at your relationship with alcohol, drugs, and other self-defeating patterns, whether you are stuck in old habits, pursuing sobriety, or building a strong life in recovery.
- Adolescence/Early Adulthood: exploring areas like confidence, identity, school/career direction, relationships, family stress, and the often difficult transition into adult life.

Budd Kelly
Budd Kelly brings energy, encouragement, and lived experience to the Center Space fitness community. After losing more than 100 pounds himself, Budd developed a passion for helping others discover what consistent movement can do for both body and mind.
His training style blends strength, conditioning, and community support. Budd focuses on helping people build confidence, improve endurance, and develop sustainable fitness habits that fit into everyday life.
Originally from Jackson, Budd enjoys creating an environment where people feel welcomed, challenged, and supported as they work toward their goals.

INSTRUCTOR
Jay Carr
Jay Carr is a Mississippi native who brings a unique perspective to movement and physical awareness. With a background in vocal performance and nearly three decades of studying the Alexander Technique, Jay helps people improve posture, balance, and efficiency of movement.
His work focuses on helping the body move with less tension and more coordination. Through simple adjustments in awareness and alignment, clients learn how the whole body works together to support strength, ease, and stability in everyday movement.
Jay holds degrees in Vocal Performance from Mississippi College and Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music and is certified in Personal Training and Corrective Exercise through NASM.

INSTRUCTOR
Scotta Brady
Scotta teaches yoga in both clinical and community settings, including cardiac rehabilitation and psychiatric outpatient programs. Her work reflects a deep understanding of how movement, breath, and awareness support both physical and emotional health.
She offers a steady, accessible approach that meets people where they are—whether they’re rebuilding strength, managing stress, or simply looking to feel more at home in their body. In addition to public and private classes, Scotta leads sessions both locally and online.
We’re grateful to have her as part of the Center Space team.
